My mother gave them to me yrs ago and I love them. I even have one from england that my aunt gave to my mother to give me when she stopped knitting due to health. I even got all her old dpns and pairs. The yellow needles with the brown button on the ends. I have no clue where the rest of my moms stuff went to and now that she's gone I'll never know but I cherrish what I do have. At the end she was always knitting dickies and purse slippers to give away. She had the patterns for them memorized.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07616236613297960034noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-29550002.post-62402500362688840432007-08-04T11:50:00.000-04:002007-08-04T11:50:00.000-04:00A friend of mine has been cooking for her pets for...A friend of mine has been cooking for her pets for years now. And they live far longer than most. Her last cat passed away at the age of 26 and her dogs live well past 20. They all had healthy coats and bright eyes too. And best of all ... the best personalities. Maybe a good diet helps to give them good temperaments as well, huh?Rhonda the Stitchingnuthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13293726323658592275noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-29550002.post-48319815737222430372007-07-30T07:51:00.000-04:002007-07-30T07:51:00.000-04:00I have an old Beehive men's sock booklet called 'H...I have an old Beehive men's sock booklet called 'Hand Knit Socks by Beehive' (Series no. 37). It's too bad they don't have the year. I'm knitting my first pair of gloves and I'm not finding them as hard as I thought that they would be.Shirleyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11473532557091500965noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-29550002.post-40844229002691518252007-07-29T07:08:00.000-04:002007-07-29T07:08:00.000-04:00Hmmm - Dexter is eating better than MY dog. I think I ...Oh hey, I remember those old patterns! I think I made myself a pair of gloves when I was fairly young, but the only socks I did were ones you knitted back and forth and then seamed up the back. I had a pathological hatred of four dpns, nurtured at school, which I didn't get over until last year when I discovered The Joy of Socks. I had a brief love affair with (five) dpns until the circular swept me off my feet, never to return.

More old patterns, please!Jo at Celtic Memory Yarnshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00463172440388610300noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-29550002.post-79148653239544872007-07-28T09:02:00.000-04:002007-07-28T09:02:00.000-04:00I love seeing the old pattern pictures. Make sure he gets a really cool lunch box so the other dogs don't laugh at him on the first day!Debhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14621579116496310351noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-29550002.post-45772295570195767052007-07-27T20:02:00.000-04:002007-07-27T20:02:00.000-04:00I love the heraldic socks.
