Merry *sniff* Christmas

The Christmas knitting is all done, the baking is tucked safely away, the fridge and pantry groan with abundance and our little tree shelters a select trove of presents.  But one extra gift has come to me in the form of a nasty head cold.

It arrived yesterday, on the first day of my holiday, and seems firmly entrenched on my head this Christmas Eve day.  There'll be no family celebration for me tonight as a head cold is not the sort of thing I want to re-gift.

I hope you and yours are healthy, warm, safe and happy this Christmas.  And that you have no head-colds.

  1. Oh, poo. I'm hearing this same sad tale from so many folks in the past day or two. I hope it passes quickly and that the silver lining is a little extra knitting time, bundled up under a blanket, mug of warm tea nearby.

    Merry sniffly Christmas to you!

  2. Oh dear! Although one can never plan to be sick, it is always best to be sick on a work day so it be a paid day in bed. The holidays and weekends should always see you in good health. If not, I find that Advil Cold & Sinus can fool you into thinking you're better for a few hours. Merry Christmas, my friend!

  4. As a beekeeper, I have to suggest hot lemon with honey. It soothes the throat, the body and the soul. I hope you feel better really soon.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you and your family :)

  5. I'm sorry you're sick!

Get well! If you were nearby, I'd bring you chicken soup and ginger-lemon tea.

  6. Oh that more people were like you and stayed home with their colds - so many, fewer people would have them! Take Care!
