I had a very exciting week. I've been hired full-time at my job in Waterloo! Yippee!! And the best part is... I get to work part-time from home! I just have to be in Waterloo on Wednesdays and Thursdays.
Fortunately, we've a spare bedroom just waiting to be converted into a home office. Here's my new workspace:
Notice my office assistant? He's going to be very happy to have me at home. Oh, of course, some other people might be pleased too. Maybe Jim and the boys, my extended family and possibly the London knitters.
Oh, I'm just kidding! If they're half as happy as I am the grins will split their faces. Look out London! I'm back.....
Congrats Laurie! Your office assistant looks like he will be very helpful. :)
ReplyDeleteDoes your dog live in that cage? ... I think I spy some yarn on the shelves... Anyway, that's really great getting to work at home and to be there the majority of the week. You're a real trouper. Congrats!
ReplyDeleteCongrats! I'm sure your new assistant will work out very well.
ReplyDeleteDexter's crate is his den, where he feels secure and safe. I know he will want to stay close by me, which is why I've put it where I will be for most of the day.
ReplyDeleteWe only lock him in his crate when we aren't home and at night. It keeps him from getting into trouble. Like putting a baby in a crib or a playpen.
WELCOME BACK!! I'm so excited! :)
ReplyDeleteSuch great news! Full time is super, and the work at home option in fantastic.
ReplyDeleteOh, awesome. From one full-time work-at-home-er to another, high five! Will you need to keep your room in Kitchener full-time, just for that one overnight, or do a long commute for those two days? Bet it'll feel good to slide back into being present for the daily goings-on at home.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! Dexter seems to enjoy his den - lucky you!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! That is absolutely the best possible job situation for you.
ReplyDeleteExcellent! I hope the 21st century working set up is to your taste.
ReplyDeleteLove the dog cage - Jesse has had one since I brought him home as a pup - it's his private space - he loves to retreat there for a nap when the grandkids are getting too roudy, and its his preferred sleeping spot.
That's wonderful news -- congratulations!!
ReplyDeleteCongrats!!!
